How much wax is needed for one seal?
Most standard impressions use one small stick segment or two to three beads, depending on stamp diameter and the thickness you prefer.
How long should the stamp remain in the wax?
Press vertically and hold for roughly ten to fifteen seconds. A gentle release is more important than force.
Can I use wax seals on envelopes sent by mail?
Yes, but postal sorting can mark raised seals. For important mail, place the seal on the inside flap or ask your postal provider about hand cancellation.
How do I clean a brass stamp?
Let residue cool, lift it gently with a wooden tool, and wipe the face with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can soften fine details.
How should wax sticks be stored?
Keep them dry, shaded, and away from radiators. A divided box prevents color transfer and keeps shorter pieces useful.
Do your lessons require previous craft experience?
No. Foundations begins with setup and safety-minded handling, while later lessons introduce alignment, motifs, and batch consistency.
